We
offer the Federal Canadian Firearms Safety Course and the
Federal Restricted Canadian Firearms Safety Course. We also
teach the Ontario Hunter's Education Course.
The
firearms course will allow you to apply for a Federal Possession
and Acquisition Firearms License or the Ontario Hunting
License upon successful completion of the courses and exams.
We generally
teach the Non-Restricted Canadian Firearms Safety Course
on a Saturday. This course is taught in a mandatory minimum
10-hour course. The testing follows right after the course
so don't make plans on the date you book for the course
as the testing can last several hours. Successful completion
of this course will allow you to apply for the Non-restricted
component of the Firearms License.
If you
require the restricted component of the license, (generally
for handgun and restricted rifle possession), you will require
an additional six-hour restricted firearms safety course.
The testing follows the six-hour course. Successful completion
of this course will allow you to apply for both the Non-restricted
and Restricted component of the Firearms License.
Please note that generally students are required to take
the non-restricted firearms course prior to taking the restricted
firearms safety course. Arrangements can be made for students
who have completed the Non-Restricted Canadian Firearms
Safety Course and/or tests with another instructor.
We also
offer a ten hour Provincial Hunter Education Course for
students who have taken the Non-Restricted Canadian Firearms
Safety Course. Successful completion of this course and
test will allow you to apply for a provincial hunting license.
Arrangements can be made for students who have completed
the Non-Restricted Canadian Firearms Safety and/or test
with another instructor.
